Tourists in London

I passed London bridge today and i can't understand why there is so many people just basically standing in my way. Us normal people of placing to go and people to meet and can't afford to keep dodging clumsy tourists to get to my destination. And people of these tourists i missed my bus but i suppose they don't care.

Also another issue is how they take photographs, they don't care who's in the way but they just press the cameras with MY face in it. I mean I'm not complaining about them taking pictures of our wonderful city but if they wait until people get out of the way!!

Olympic touch is coming!

The Olympic torch is set to pass through my locality. Kingsland road to be specific. On the 22nd of July which is conveniently on a Saturday with my neighbor carrying the torch however i don't know the details on that. But I'm sure there going to be many disruptions.

But i have to say that the design of the torch is perfect!

olympic stories

Why is it that so much work, energy and MONEY has gone into the olympics yet the surronding area has got no main regeneration.

I mean surely if the olympics are in town (stratford) the most helpfull idea is to help local people by refurbishing and rebuilding run down neighbourhoods.

The olympics is agureable in the poorest crime ridden part of london and i'm sure that that isn't going to change anytime soon. But the government should of tried it's best to make the local area more 'upmarket' or just try to make stratford/hackney wick more of a desireable destination.

And yes, i do understand that Westfields has put more of a light on stratford and the olympic village itself has made stratford more 'nicer' but if you look at the surronding streets it's no better than places miles away form the olympics.

I know it's not that realistic that the government can regenerate every street, shop etc.. but if they at least tried to improve the lives of residents it would of put more of a positive view on the london 2012 olympic games

Rush hour london

Rush hour in London is really bad isn't it!

The bus i took yesterday was HORRIBLE I couldn't believe that the bus driver couldn't even let people on the bus because it was so packed. It passed 5 bus stops before it could let people on the bus and still it was packed. London just invest in better transport.

But that was nothing compared to the tubes...

But i feel sorry for these people below

RAIN RAIN RAIN WHAT A SURPRISE!

RAIN RAIN RAIN why is it RAINING!!
Well at least those tourists in central London are getting that authentic 'British feel'
Now because of this RAIN there's worries about Olympics but the designers are saying it was planned to cope with such RAIN in JULY.

I have to say that rain suits London like theses pics below. But seriously it's suppose to be summer and I'm still wearing jeans and winter jackets!!

Westfields in south east london?

Plans to build a new westfields in croydon, i think it's a bit silly to have so many westfields in one city. these shopping centres are huge and suck the blood out of smaller business.

On a plus side at least croydon ppl have a huge shopping place on the doorstep

No go areas maped

I've just came across a disturbing map of London's street gangs
The map is located in hackney.
I find this slightly amusing because the gangs are overlapping the trendy areas of Hoxton-shoreditch area.
SORRY ABOUT MAP SIZE.

I think this map is very handy so people know where to AVOID trouble!
